Saveh University of Medical Sciences Journal is the official scientific quarterly publication of Saveh University of Medical Sciences. The journal publishes peer-reviewed articles in Persian with English abstracts and provides open access to its content. It aims to familiarize specialists, researchers, and students with new findings in medical, paramedical, and health sciences, promoting the development of professional knowledge and improving community health.
The journal welcomes manuscripts reporting original research, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, short communications, and letters to the editor in various fields of medical and health sciences. Manuscripts must be submitted electronically via the journal website: https://journal.savehums.ac.ir
General Principles and Important Notes
· Original Research Article: Structured as Title, Abstract (Persian & English), Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements, Ethical Considerations, Ethics Code, Conflict of Interest, Funding, Authors’ Contributions, and References.
· Short Communication: Similar to original research but with limited findings; maximum 3 pages, 1500 words, up to 10 references.
· Review Article: Comprehensive review of a scientific topic by authors with sufficient expertise and publication history; at least 30 references (minimum 3 from the authors).
· Case Report: Observational report of a unique case; unstructured abstracts up to 100 words; main text up to 750 words; max 8 references, up to 2 tables or figures (total 3). Ethics code required.
· Meta-Analysis: Statistical synthesis of structured review data; similar format to original research articles.
· Letter to the Editor: Max 550 words; up to 3 references; title max 8 words; no abstract, tables, or figures
Title Page: Title, repeating title, author names with highest qualifications, academic rank, department, institution, address, phone, fax, and email. Corresponding author must be indicated with Corresponding Author.
Abstract: Structured Persian and English abstracts (max 250 words) including Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusion, and 3–5 MeSH keywords. Clinical trials must include IRCT code before keywords.
Introduction: Describe the research importance, rationale, and objectives without extensive literature review.
Materials & Methods: Describe study type, population, sample, sampling method, data collection tools, validity and reliability, ethical considerations, interventions, and statistical methods. Include manufacturer information for devices and generic names, dosage, and administration for drugs. Animal studies require ethical approval details. Sample size calculation and statistical methods must be clear and appropriate.
Results: Present data using text, tables, and figures. Tables: max 4; numbered with captions above. Figures: high quality, captions below. Provide descriptive and analytical findings, flow diagrams for clinical trials (CONSORT).
Discussion & Conclusion: Emphasize main findings, compare with previous studies, discuss hypotheses, limitations, and provide clear conclusions.

· All human studies require informed consent; approval by relevant ethics committee/IRB.
· Animal studies must comply with national/institutional guidelines.

Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose funding and potential conflicts.
Publication Fees: No fees for submission or publication.
Copyright: Authors retain copyright; journal requires license to publish. All content protected under international copyright law.
Peer Review Process: Manuscripts are peer-reviewed by at least 2 anonymous reviewers. Editorial decisions (accept, revise, reject) are communicated promptly. Manuscripts meeting all criteria are scheduled for the next issue.
